From the outside, many Cargo trailers look very similar. Quite often it is the details that you cannot see that make the difference. With H and H Trailers, our UNIQUE, and PROVEN general construction and roof installation methods are what sets our product apart form the rest. Below you will find all the details of the particular trailer and many of the key features that set H and H apart from the competitors.
Key differences from our competitors:
Swivel up wheel jack VS coupler mounted jack on their trailers. Coupler mounted jacks will interfere with your tailgates/rear cargo door, typically causing damage. Our swivel up jack has the same rating and swivels up within the frame rail while in tow.
Screw-less sides. When you screw the sides of a cargo trailer, materials will warp and the screws can loosen up and cause structural concerns. Along with the screw-less sides, we offer a thicker aluminum on all of our colored trailers and many of our white trailers.
Tubular door support. Our ramp doors are supported with a tubular frame VS channel frame, The channel under the ramp door can bend causing binding or failure of the ramp door.
Poly Urea frame coating. Spray on bed liner coats all exposed steel on the H and H cargo trailer. Along with that the Plywood gets a rubberized undercoating. Our competitors paint the exposed steel. This typically will already be rusting on the dealer lots.
An ALL-Tube wall and roof construction give the trailer enhanced rigidity compared to other construction methods like hat channel. For the roof construction, Round Tops have a 1x1 tube Roof Bow and a Flat Top have 1x1 Tube Roof Bows. On Flat Top Models, a crown is put into the tube to facilitate water run-off and add strength to the roof bow to handle heavy wind and snow loads. All H&H roof bows are constructed from Galvalume tubing which aids in corrosion prevention where others paint or undercoat plain steel roof bows.
The roof is constructed from a multiple piece overlap system unique to H&H with years of proven success. Sheets of aluminum are adhered to each rood bow with 3M VHB tape and every 4 feet the sheets overlap 1.5 inches with a double layer of 3M VHB tape. On the inside of the trailer a bead of SikaFlex polyurethane sealant is applied to each side of the roof bow to the aluminum roofing. This adds a second level of bonding and weather protection for long life.
